Emily Alexander Helm, a close friend from high school that was married two weeks after Coby and I, had her first baby last week. I spent some time with her and her little one, Hunter, reminiscing on the old days and getting to know the new addition to her family, (and secretly having baby envy). She is a natural with Hunter and he may be the most laid back infant I have ever known. Granted most infants really just sleep, eat and poop, but Hunter truly fell asleep about ten minutes after I arrived to visit, and spent the next two hours just sleeping away in my arms. He is adorable! See pics below of Em and her little pumpkin Hunter, and then Em, Hunter and myself. I am SO proud of Emily and cannot wait to see her and Hunter again!
I also spent a fantastic evening with another good friend from high school named Adrienne Dreiling. (Actually, Adrienne and I spent some time with wine while in each other's company.)While our time together was fabulous, I would not say that my Saturday morning was joyous. The wine and conversation were way too easy! Yikes! We had a great time, shared many old memories and made some new ones.

Adrienne and I.
Emily, Adrienne and I are all completely amazed that our 10 year high school reunion is next month! I am sure that those of you that are older than us know what we are thinking...we are old and just continuing to get older. I am not talking about aging here...I am talking about getting old. It is becoming increasingly difficult to remember things, exercise is a must but still only for vanity at this point, and the worst is when I refer to a group of people that are probably well into their twenties as "those kids". Eww. OLD.
On a more fun note, and a much more imature note, Coby and I had a fabulous "Sunday Funday" at our house. The guests of honor at "Sunday Funday" were Coby, Birdie and myself. We went for a bike ride around White Rock Lake in the morning and then retired to our back porch where we had a few beers and watched football all day. The weather was amazing and we laughed all day long. It was a day of greatness and I couldn't ask for more!

Sunday Fun-Day makes Birdie smile!
I hope that everyone is having a WONDERFUL week!
